Accident coverage will help take care of costs for injuries and emergencies related to accidents, like torn ligaments, bite wounds, cuts, broken bones, lodged foreign objects, and toxic ingestions.
Whats Not Covered:
Pre-existing Conditions
No pet insurance provider covers pre-existing conditions, which are conditions that occur before coverage begins or during a waiting period. However, an injury or illness that is cured and free of treatment and symptoms for 180 days will no longer be regarded as pre-existing, with the exception of knee and ligament conditions. If a knee or ligament condition occurs before the coverage effective date or during a waiting period, any future ones won’t be covered.
Cosmetic procedures
Our plans do not cover elective procedures, such as tail docking, ear cropping, and claw removal.
Breeding costs
Our plans do not cover costs associated with breeding or pregnancy.
Preventive Care
Coverage for preventive care, like annual wellness exams, vaccines, and screenings, is not included in this plan.
Knee/Ligament Conditions
If your pet exhibited symptoms of a knee and ligament condition at any time, prior to enrollment or during a waiting period, all ligament and knee conditions will be excluded. Ligament and Knee are conditions involving a ligament, patella, meniscus or soft tissue disorder of the knee.
Incidents unrelated to accidents
Coverage starts on the 15th day after the policy effective date.
